BI News, Dehradun : The State Foundation Day celebration in Dehradun concluded with Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami’s impactful announcements. Highlighting the event was the revelation of a forthcoming Women Policy, aimed at empowering women across Uttarakhand. The announcement of the “Mukhyamantri Kanya Samuhik Vivah” scheme, intended to aid needy families in organizing mass weddings, added a philanthropic touch to the occasion.

In the fight against drug abuse, a visionary plan for “Drug Free Villages” and “Drug Free Cities” was unveiled, marking a significant step towards realizing a Drug-Free Uttarakhand. Furthermore, a dedicated action plan against child labor showcased the government’s commitment to safeguarding the future of the state’s youth.

President Smt. Droupadi Murmu praised the state’s progress since its inception, emphasizing the cultural richness and contribution of women. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) highlighted Uttarakhand’s rapid development and the need for inclusive growth. Chief Minister Dhami emphasized the government’s commitment to Uttarakhand’s progress, outlining various pioneering initiatives undertaken for the state’s holistic development. The event concluded with the honoring of four distinguished individuals with Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman by President Murmu.
