PAC inspector shot dead, miscreant absconding

BI News, Lucknow: A case of murder of an inspector by firing bullets has come to light in the capital Lucknow. The miscreants fled after committing the crime.
According to the information, an inspector posted in PAC was shot dead at the door of his house in Manas Vihar of Krishnanagar, Lucknow late on Sunday night. The miscreant absconded after committing the crime. Police reached the spot after getting information and started investigation.

Satish Kumar (52), resident of Manas Vihar, was posted as quarter master in IV Corps PAC Prayagraj. He had gone to a relative’s house for dinner on Diwali with his wife and daughter. He returned at around 2 o’clock in the night. He was just getting down from the car and opening the gate of the house when a miscreant came and fired at him. The inspector was hit by three bullets.

The wife and daughter informed the police about this incident. DCP South Vineet Jaiswal said that a case of murder has been registered against unknown person in the matter. Five teams have been formed. Clues are being collected from CCTV footage. The incident will be revealed soon.

Satish’s wife Bhavna and daughter Pakhi (10) were sitting in the car when the incident took place. Both of them were also about to get down from the car. Since the door of the house had to be opened, Satish came down first. Then both of them saw that Satish had been shot.
She quickly got down from the car and went to Satish. He fell down drenched in blood. Then the doctors declared him dead.
