IDBI Bank Organized Mega Camp Under Nationwide Financial Inclusion Saturation Campaign

Lucknow, September 23, 2025 – Under the aegis of the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Government of India, IDBI Bank organized a Mega Camp as part of the Nationwide Financial Inclusion Saturation Campaign. The primary objective of the camp was to strengthen access to financial services in rural areas, empower citizens financially, and ensure widespread awareness and benefit of various social security schemes launched by the government.
The event was graced by Shri Sumit Fakka, Deputy Managing Director of IDBI Bank, as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present included Shri Manoj Kumar, Chief General Manager & Zonal Head; Shri Shailendra Kumar Singh, General Manager & Convenor, State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC); Shri Jasjit Singh Kalra, Assistant General Manager, Reserve Bank of India; Shri Anant Pandey, General Manager & Deputy Zonal Head; and Shri Rajeev Ranjan Mishra, General Manager & Senior Regional Head.

With participation over 250 attendees, the camp provided detailed information on various financial inclusion schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), along with Digital Banking and Cyber Crime Awareness.

Shri Sumit Fakka emphasized the growing need for cyber security awareness in light of increasing cyber frauds. He stated, “There is no such thing as a ‘Digital Arrest’—it is a deceptive tactic used by fraudsters to intimidate and cheat innocent citizens.” He urged people to stay vigilant and spread awareness among family and friends to prevent cyber fraud.
Shri Shailendra Kumar Singh, SLBC Convenor, addressed the public on promoting cyber awareness and safe banking habits. He also shared information about the Cyber Awareness Helpline Number 1930, encouraging citizens to actively participate in the campaign and benefit from the schemes.

Shri Jasjit Singh Kalra, AGM, RBI, educated Jan Dhan account holders on the importance of Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance and highlighted how financial literacy contributes to societal and national progress.

Shri Manoj Kumar, Zonal Head, concluded the program by stating, “The goal of this saturation camp is to inform everyone and reach everyone. IDBI Bank is committed to serving every citizen, and today’s camp is a step in that direction.” He extended his gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement.

The presence of senior bank officials and active participation from local citizens made the camp a resounding success. This initiative marked a significant step toward strengthening financial inclusion and public awareness.
