Bihar Shines at ‘World Food India 2023’ Event in Delhi

BI News,New Delhi: Bihar, a partner state in the second edition of ‘World Food India 2023’ held at Pragati Maidan in Delhi, made a grand entrance with the inauguration of the “Invest Bihar” Pavilion. The opening ceremony was graced by Sandeep Poundrik, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar.

The event, taking place from November 3 to 5, features a bustling showcase of Bihar’s potential as an investment destination. The inaugural event was attended by prominent figures such as Pankaj Dixit, Director of the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, Vivek Ranjan Maitrey, Director of Food Processing, Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, Binay Kumar Mallik, Deputy Director of the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, and other distinguished guests.

Bihar’s participation as a partner state aims to attract global investors to explore the vast investment opportunities in the region. Sandeep Poundrik expressed the state’s objective at the event, stating, “Through this mega food event, our main objective is to encourage participants and investors from all over the world to invest in Bihar, the most suitable state for investment.”

The ‘Invest Bihar’ Pavilion drew significant attention on the first day, with foreign investors, including delegates from Japan, showing a keen interest in potential investments in Bihar. They engaged in in-depth discussions with officials from the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, exploring various investment possibilities.

The ‘Invest Bihar’ Pavilion also featured a substantial crowd of visitors at the MSME and startup stalls. Rakesh Masala’s new products captured the attention of visitors at the MSME stall, while MBA Makhanawala’s innovative offerings, including 9 different flavors of roasted makhana and makhana cookies, became instant favorites at the startup stall. Shravan Kumar Roy, a representative from MBA Makhanawala, highlighted their unique products, saying, “The restaurant product is special this time and is attracting people a lot.”

With a promising start and a focus on investment opportunities, Bihar’s presence at ‘World Food India 2023’ is set to create significant economic traction and foster global collaborations in the food industry.
