Crosser:- District administration prevented from meeting Azam Khan

BI News, Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai reached Sitapur to meet the state’s senior leader Azam Khan, who is lodged in Sitapur jail. But the jail administration did not allow Ajay Rai to meet Azam Khan.

On this occasion, Rai said that Yogi Adityanath government of Bharatiya Janata Party is conspiring to harass Azam Khan. At the behest of the government, fake cases have been filed against them. Azam Khan is not a criminal but a political person. He is a strong leader of Uttar Pradesh. During his tenure as the Urban Development Minister, the most successful Mahakumbh was organized which was appreciated all over the world. Azam Khan, who was political since his student days, was treated with hatred by the BJP government. It is not right to commit atrocities at all, we as humanity have come here to share their pain and suffering.

Ajay Rai said that the entire Congress stands with him
against this atrocity.

Whenever the BJP government committed atrocities in Uttar Pradesh, be it the incident of Hathras, the incident of Umbha, the rape incident of Unnao, the incident of running over farmers in Lakhimpur, the incident of providing justice to the daughter of Shahjahanpur, There are about 400 such major and thousands of other incidents, where Priyanka Gandhi reached everywhere, Congress leader workers reached and fought against atrocities and the BJP government had to bow down and retreat.

Ajay Rai said that the district administration has worked to prevent people from getting instructions from the government. He said that how will one know the condition of Azam Khan? The state has been made a jungle raj instead of law, everything is being run arbitrarily, we had completed all the legal formalities for meeting in jail. A false excuse was made that Azam Khan did not want to meet. Rai questioned why the Yogi Adityanath government is so afraid and is not allowing the truth to come out. He said that this fight against injustice and atrocities is not going to stop.
