BI News, Ranchi: A high-level committee meeting was convened at the Marang Gomke Jaypal Singh AstroTurf Hockey Stadium in Morahabadi, Ranchi, to review the preparations for the upcoming Jharkhand Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2023, scheduled from October 27 to November 5. Chaired by Arun Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare, the meeting took place at the conference hall of the hockey stadium.

During the meeting, the committee, comprising officials from various departments, discussed the finalization of arrangements for the tournament. Arun Kumar Singh provided detailed directives related to the players’ arrival, accommodation, security, parking facilities, traffic management, vending zones, and other essential aspects. He emphasized that the preparations for the event are nearly complete, and any pending tasks should be expedited to ensure a successful tournament.

Additionally, it was announced that a vending zone is being set up at the Morahabadi Ground, where vendors will receive training from the municipal corporation. Arun Kumar Singh highlighted that entry to the stadium will be free of charge, urging the public to attend the matches and boost the morale of the players.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including the Additional Chief Secretaries of Home, Art and Disaster Management Department, Energy Department, Director of Hockey India, Secretary of Building Construction Department, Secretary of Tourism, Art-Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs Department, Jharkhand Police Director-General (HoPF), Deputy Commissioner, Senior Police Superintendent (Traffic), President of Hockey India, General Secretary of Hockey India, and other senior officers from various departments and organizations.
