Increased Election Activity in Palamu District Advocates Association

BI News, Ranchi: The electoral fervor has risen in the Palamu District Bar Association as the process for the 2023-25 general assembly elections has commenced. In this regard, a meeting of the Election Committee was held. After the meeting, Advocate Shaukat Ali and Advocate Satish Chandra Mahato, members of the Election Committee, shared election-related information with journalists. Shaukat Ali informed that in light of the letter received from the Jharkhand State Bar Council, the voter list for the session 2023-25 of all members of the Palamu District Bar Association has been published.

All advocates have been notified to submit applications to the Election Committee by November 25 if there are any errors in the published voter list. Shaukat Ali also mentioned that the entire process related to the voter list will be completed, and the final publication of the voter list will take place at 3:00 PM on November 30. He further stated that by November 25, proof of depositing the pending amount related to Rule 40 of the Bar Council of India should be submitted along with the application.

Members not depositing the prescribed amount of dues in the association will submit an application regarding the deposit. Those who have passed the AIBE exam will provide relevant certificates. After the review of all documents, names will be added to the voter list. It is noteworthy that elections for the Advocates Association occur every two years. Following the publication of the voter list, election activities have intensified, with candidates vying for the positions of President, Secretary, Vice President, Joint Secretary Administration, Treasurer, Joint Secretary Library, Assistant Treasurer, and Executive Members. Discussions among advocates have already begun, and Assistant Advocate Sanjay Dubey was present at the venue as a helper for the Election Committee.
