BI News, Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren convened a meeting with the Chairman and members of the Jharkhand Activists’ Symbolic Recognition Commission at the Jharkhand Secretariat. The Chief Minister expressed that the formation of a separate state of Jharkhand was a significant achievement, made possible by the relentless efforts of numerous activists who sacrificed their lives for the cause. He emphasized the need for activists and their families to have the first rights on the state’s various resources and properties.
The Chief Minister revealed that the previous state governments attempted to diminish the number of activists supporting the separate Jharkhand state, aiming to consolidate their count to 25-30 thousand. He criticized the past governments for disrespecting the activists’ efforts. However, the current state government is striving to reach every activist and their families in every village, ensuring their rights and dignity. The Chief Minister stressed the government’s commitment to supporting activists and their families in every possible way.
Recalling the past strategies, Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren noted how drum beats were used to gather activists at specific locations to plan the formation of the separate Jharkhand state.
