BI News, Ranchi: Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha, a meeting was organized to discuss the successful organization of the Women’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy – 2023. The meeting took place in the conference hall of the Secretariat, where Deputy Development Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Yadav, Varied Police Superintendent Chandan Kumar Sinha from Ranchi, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Rajeshwar Nath Alok, and nodal officers from the core team formed at the district level were present.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha reviewed the preparations made so far and provided detailed directions and guidelines. He coordinated with the nodal officers responsible for transport, logistics, IT, security/law and order maintenance, traffic security, medical team, media and PR team, protocol, airport arrangements, hotel team, fire safety, sound and electricity, drinking water and sanitation teams.
Deputy Commissioner Sinha emphasized the importance of coordination between the core team’s nodal officers and officials from Hockey India. He highlighted that the tournament, scheduled from October 27 to November 5, 2023, will host teams from six countries. The preparations for the tournament have been ongoing for several days, and sub-committees have been formed at the district level under the guidance of the honorable Chief Minister. Each committee has been assigned specific responsibilities.
Deputy Commissioner Sinha instructed the nodal officers to conduct site visits and ensure proper arrangements at the stadium. He discussed crowd control, parking management, visitor safety, security checks, hotel accommodation, logistic arrangements, and other related aspects. Deputy Commissioner Sinha expressed confidence that all arrangements will be completed smoothly. He also requested the Puja committees to remove pandals from the roads by October 24 and 25 for the convenience of the public.
During the meeting, Senior Police Superintendent Chandan Kumar Sinha provided directions regarding security, stadium, and surrounding areas. He emphasized the need for secure areas, security checks of people entering the stadium, parking management, crowd management, and other relevant aspects.
