BI News, Lucknow: A memorial will be constructed in his honor at Saifai, the birthplace of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Akhilesh Yadav told that Netaji was very fond of Saifai. He was born there, played, got educated, struggled and reached heights in politics. We are building a memorial in the memory of Netaji in Saifai. Its foundation stone will be laid on Netaji’s birthday, 22 November 2023. All senior socialist leaders of the party will be invited to the foundation stone laying program.
Akhilesh Yadav said that it will be our endeavor to get Netaji’s memorial ready as soon as possible before 2027. On this occasion, a video presentation regarding the construction of the memorial was also made.
Yadav said that Netaji has given a lot as inheritance to all of us. He struggled and carried forward the socialist ideology. It is the responsibility of us youth to take this movement forward and strengthen it.
On this occasion, senior Samajwadi Party leader and former MP Uday Pratap Singh presented the complete outline of the construction of the memorial.
A plan is under consideration to construct a memorial of Mulayam Singh Yadav in his birthplace village Saifai district Etawah Uttar Pradesh (India). This memorial will be built on 8.3 acres of land. There is a plan to create a grand park on 4.5 acres of land and manage public facilities for accessibility at the memorial. The glimpse and quality of folk art will be kept in mind in the design of this memorial.

The design of the memorial will also give a glimpse of the pride of India connected to the land and the simplicity and quality of the great politician Netaji. The shape of this memorial will be trapezoidal on the fertile land of Uttar Pradesh. In which the landscape will be visible keeping in mind that it is mainly connected to the land. The landscape will feature a color palette composed of lavish materials associated with folk life and will be a major highlight of the architecture’s connection to the land.
A long gallery has been arranged around the memorial through which the tomb can be reached. The mausoleum will also be decorated with a series of scenes on both sides. There will be a series of viewpoints, squares and courtyards leading to the mausoleum from the entrance gate. There is a plan of beautiful pillars on both the sides so that the spectators can feel a pleasant peaceful atmosphere. There will be a viewpoint on its sides and a memorial hall in the middle, which will have a grand bronze statue of Netaji. There will be grass fields all around for access to the auditorium.
Spectators will be allowed to meet and consult during the tribute to Netaji in the Smriti Auditorium.

To reach the auditorium, there will be a square equipped with beautiful views in the northern direction, due to which the audience will feel a pleasant peace after reaching the venue. This place will be decorated with samples of art skills, craftsmanship and various types of plantations of Uttar Pradesh. This fascinating tourist destination will welcome all visitors and give them glimpses into the times and life of Netaji. People will be taken in by a peaceful simplicity and spectacular scenery. The path to the mausoleum and memorial hall will go through a trapezoidal construction. From where the beautiful central square will be visible which will be surrounded by attractive scenes. On one side there will be the story of Netaji’s life struggle and on the other side there will be the craftsmanship and the famous quote on the stone itself. Apart from this, there will also be other information which will give an opportunity to peep into the inner life of Netaji. This detail will be made on stones and metals as per the standards based on the arts of Uttar Pradesh.
The understanding and necessity of democracy and Gandhi’s peaceful and brilliant ideas of non-violence will also spread at this site.
The sculpture on the pillars of this site will be inspired and reflected from the art of Lumbini, Meerut and Allahabad of the era of Emperor Ashoka.
This mausoleum and memorial place will provide the people of Saifai the same sense of pride that the people of America get from the Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson monuments.
The final decoration of Smriti Auditorium will be done with locally available stones which will give the auditorium the feel of a public interest museum.
The planning of this monument is very excellent, it will have adequate facilities for parking and commuting facilities so that tourists do not face any inconvenience in commuting on special occasions. Every public facility will be made available within the perimeter of this site. There will be a shaded trapezoidal structure to reach these facilities and there will also be arrangements for a shaded path to return from the monument.
For the village residents of Saifai, this Memorial Auditorium will always provide them with such a facility that they can experience happiness, peace and pride and can give as much information as possible about Netaji’s life to others and also learn it themselves.
