Minister Champai Soren Inaugurates Jharkhand Pavilion at International Trade Fair

BI News, Ranchi: The world’s largest trade fair, the International Trade Fair, kicked off today at Pragati Maidan. Following the G20 Summit, this is the second major event hosted at Pragati Maidan. The theme for this year’s fair is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” and Jharkhand is participating as the focus state, showcasing its prideful presence.

In the inauguration ceremony, Minister Champai Soren, the Minister of Tribal Welfare and Transport for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes, unveiled the Jharkhand Pavilion. He began the ceremony with the worship of Bhagwan Birsa and the auspicious opening of the pavilion. The honorable minister inspected all the stalls within the pavilion, commending the showcased exhibits.

During the occasion, Minister Soren emphasized the rich mineral resources and culture of Jharkhand. He expressed the state government’s commitment to promoting small and medium industries. The Indian International Trade Fair serves as a platform to showcase the traditions, culture, and regional products on a national level. Secretary Jitendra Kumar Singh and Director Bhor Singh Yadav from the Department of Industries, Government of Jharkhand, were present at the event.

The Jharkhand government has set up 20 stalls in the pavilion, displaying regional products. Additionally, approximately 14 stalls representing various departments of the Jharkhand government provide information about their respective areas and schemes. The aim is to facilitate both exhibition and purchase of products made in Jharkhand, providing visitors with insights into the state’s department.
