BI News,Lucknow: A meeting of Kashyap, Nishad, Bind Dhimar, Mallah, Kahar, Kevat, Godiya, Raibar, Turaiha, Manjhi, Majhwar, Gond and Machhua communities organized by Samajwadi Backward Class Cell at the state headquarters of Samajwadi Party was organized on Friday. On this occasion Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav while addressing said that due to the wrong policies of the BJP government, injustice is being done to the backward people, Dalits and minorities. BJP has been cheating them. There is a demand for caste census across the country. Now in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, PDA will defeat BJP’s NDA.
Yadav said that the demand for caste census is not new. Everyone is in favor of it. Those who were protesting have also started demanding caste census. It is possible that as elections approach, BJP may also start talking about caste census. Social justice and equality will come only when caste census is conducted. With this caste census, all the backward classes, Dalits and minorities will get respect along with rights. Caste census will ensure proportionate participation to all.
Yadav said that today we are committed to providing the backward and Dalit community their rights and respect. we are all one. To remove the discrepancy and inequality in the society, Netaji had sent Phoolan Devi to Parliament.
Akhilesh said that one has to be cautious of BJP. We have to avoid BJP’s conspiracy. People’s ancestral work is being snatched away. Our fight is long. Now there is a fight at the booth. Together we will oust BJP from power in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
In the meeting, representatives of various societies said that BJP has betrayed the backward castes. Justice was done to all these backward castes in the Samajwadi government. This society has faith in the Samajwadi Party. The leaders of the backward society assured that all the backward castes will be with the Samajwadi Party in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and the entire backward society will unite and leave no stone unturned to make the Samajwadi Party candidates win with huge votes.
It was told in the meeting that in the BJP government, holidays in the name of our caste great men Maharaja Kashyap and Nishadaj Grihya were canceled whereas in the Samajwadi government they were being given. Like Lohia Housing, the grant of Rs 3 lakh 5 thousand on Fishermen Housing stopped. The reservation given to 17 castes was abolished in the court due to a conspiracy by the BJP. The lease for sand mining, water chestnuts and fish farming has stopped. The livelihood of boatmen who earn their living by sailing boats has been stopped and cruises of capitalists have been started. The caste contractors in power are not able to provide justice to the victims of continuous neglect.
The meeting was conducted by Dr. Rajpal Kashyap, former MLC and state president of Samajwadi Backward Class Cell and presided over by former MLA Lalta Prasad Nishad. Former Cabinet Minister Rajendra Chaudhary, State President Naresh Uttam Patel were prominently involved.
