Successful Organization of Financial Inclusion Perfection Campaign by Punjab & Sind Bank in Gorakhpur

Under the directives of the Department of Financial Services, Government of India, Punjab & Sind Bank successfully organized a Financial Inclusion Campaign event in Gorakhpur. On this occasion, Mr. Ravi Mehra, Executive Director from the Head Office, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

Block Development Officer of Chargawan region Mr. Satyaprakash Singh, Lead District Manager Mr. Manoj Srivastava, and Zonal Manager from Lucknow, Mr. Awadhesh Narayan Singh, were also present at the event. The program saw significant participation from around 500 people from local and nearby areas.

During his address, Mr. Mehra focused on the importance of financial inclusion and discussed in detail the **‘Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana’**, a very beneficial scheme for farmers sponsored by the central government. He informed the attendees that the last date to apply for the crop insurance scheme has been extended to **31st August 2025**, allowing farmers to claim compensation in case of crop loss or damage.

In addition, Mr. Mehra also highlighted various other important schemes such as the **CM Yuva Udyami Yojana**, **Atal Pension Yojana (APY)**, **Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY)**, and stressed the importance of **Re-KYC**. He urged everyone to connect with banking services and move towards self-reliance.

Following this, Block Development Officer Mr. Satyaprakash Singh and Lead District Manager Mr. Srivastava also spoke in simple and clear language, explaining the benefits of central and state government-sponsored financial schemes and encouraged villagers to take maximum benefit from these programs.

The event coordinator and Zonal Head Mr. A. N. Singh specially emphasized the importance of **Self Help Groups (SHGs)** and encouraged more people to connect with banks to avail their benefits. He provided extensive details about the **Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY)**, **Atal Pension Yojana (APY)**, **Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY)**, and other schemes, highlighting the role of banking services in promoting inclusive economic development.

During the event, *village heads (Gram Pradhans)*, *Bank Mitras*, and *active women associated with SHGs* were also honored for their valuable contributions, providing them with further inspiration and encouragement.
