BI News,Patna :. AIPWA organized a press conference and said that it has written a letter to the Chief Minister of Bihar regarding the vulgar statement given in the Bihar Legislative Assembly yesterday, due to which a very uncomfortable situation has arisen.

Pro. Bharti S Kumar, Meena Tiwari, Shashi Yadav, Sohila Gupta and Preeti Kumari organized a press conference and said that the language style of the Chief Minister’s statement during

the Socio-Economic Survey presented in the Bihar Legislative Assembly yesterday was very objectionable.Although he later apologized for this, but it is a very serious matter.
AIPWA has said that the Socio-Economic Survey has given a new direction to politics in the entire country, it is expected that the process of making tailored development policies in the light of the survey data will now start in Bihar, but at this very juncture Chief Minister’s statement has weakened the seriousness of the entire matter. While his statement created an uncomfortable situation for the women MLAs inside the House, some male MLAs laughed. This shows how our constitutional institutions are still in the grip of anti-women mentality. Also, this is hara ssment at the workplace for women MLAs. Women’s education is the desire of entire Bihar but it is wrong to limit girls’ education for the purpose of population control. As women’s education spreads, it is obvious that the fertility rate will decrease, but to reduce the fertility rate, it is important to pay attention to other protective measures as well.

Freedom of choice of women, easy availability of safe and convenient contraceptive means for women, safe delivery, safety of mother and newborn etc. are equally important. Secondly, family planning is not just the responsibility of women, it is also the responsibility of their husband or partner.

The main issue of our party is reservation:- Dr. Sanjay Nishad

For women empowerment, along with education of women, there is a need for respectable environment for them in the society, improvement in employment and overall health system, on which the government should pay serious attention. In incidents of violence against women, we often see the government machinery insensitive and in favor of the oppressors. There is a need to sensitize the government machinery towards women.
