Chief Minister Nitish Kumar offeres Arghya to the setting sun Lord Bhaskar, also visites various Chhath Ghats by steamer

BI News, Patna: . Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited various Chhath ghats of river Ganga by steamer from Nasriganj Ghat in Danapur to Gaighat and wished Chhath devotees and people of the state on Chhath. Lakhs of devotees offered prayers to the setting Lord Sun at various ghats of river Ganga. The devotees present at the ghats greeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with raised hands.

The Chief Minister also accepted the greetings of all the people by raising his hands.

It is known that the Chief Minister has been visiting Chhath Ghats regarding the facilities for Chhath fasts. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, full efforts have been made by the administration for the convenience and safety of the fasting people at Chhath Ghats so that people do not face any kind of problem.The Chief Minister has greeted the entire state on this occasion.

During the Chief Minister’s visit, Legislative Councilor Lalan Saraf, Additional Advisor to the Chief Minister Manish Kumar Verma, Chief Secretary Aamir Subhani, Director General of Police RS Bhatti, Principal Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department Santosh Kumar Mall, Secretary to the Chief Minister Anupam Kumar, Commissioner, Patna. Pramandal Kumar Ravi, Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister Gopal Singh, IG Patna Zone Shri Rakesh Rathi and other senior officers were present.

Before visiting the Chhath Ghats, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, along with his close family members, offered prayers to Lord Bhaskar at his residence at 1 Anne Marg and prayed to God for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of the state.
