BI news, Lucknow: Children’s Day celebration organized in Pediatric Orthopedic Department Lucknow. Like every year, this year also a Children’s Day program was organized in the Pediatric Orthopedic Department of KGMU in Shatabdi Phase-2 on Tuesday. Dr. Vikas Verma, HOD of Pediatric Orthopedic Department, Dr. Suresh Chand (Assistant Professor), and Dr. Syed Faisal (Assistant Professor) were present at the event.
A drawing competition was also organized on this occasion. The theme of this year’s drawing competition was ‘Pollution’. On this occasion, all the admitted children of Pediatric Orthopedics Department and children of nursing staff and office staff were also invited. In this drawing competition, the best three drawings were selected for prizes and sweets and snacks were distributed to all the children. On this occasion, Dr. Vikas Verma highlighted the dangers of pollution and possible solutions to children’s health. Dr. Suresh Chand said that by making changes in daily lifestyle, the harmful effects of pollution on the development and performance of children can be avoided. Dr. Faisal said that various types of household hazardous waste were discussed at home which can be helpful in reducing pollution.


Professor Ashish highlighted the importance of clean water and its accessibility as well as our role in keeping water resources clean and pollution free. Professor Vineet Sharma described children as the future of young India. He congratulated all the participants especially the top 3 pictures. All the participants created a space to keep the surrounding environment free from pollution and lead a lifestyle that reduces the burden on the environment and our natural planet. Professor Vineet Sharma, former HOD, Orthopedic KGMU, Professor Ashish Kumar, HOD, KGMU, nursing staff and other employees participated with great eagerness in this program in which Senior Resident of the Department – ​​Dr. Prasheeth, Dr. Nitin, Dr. Purushottam, staff included Sandeep, Manoj, Deepak, Dhruv, Tayyaba Fiza, Rahul, Rakesh, Amit, Vimlesh along with staff nurses Kajal, Madhubala, dietitian Iram Khan, Gunja, Shalini Verma, Priyanka, etc. The entire team of KGMU Lucknow department was present.
