BI News, Lucknow: Lucknow-based Allahabad High Court bench has given advice to SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya, accused in the case of burning copies of Shri Ramcharitmanas. The bench said, the statement of any text or record should be read and kept in the right perspective. Any excerpt taken from somewhere without relevant facts cannot be called true. In some circumstances this may also be a false statement. This comment was made by the single bench of Justice Subhash Vidyarthi in the decision rejecting Maurya’s petition.

In the petition, the charge sheet filed in the case registered in Pratapgarh Kotwali City and the cognizance taken by the lower court was challenged. The court had rejected the petition on October 31. Its decision was released later. The Court said that no part of legal or judicial decisions can be presented without its relevant provisions. Similarly, when any couplet of Shri Ramcharitmanas is quoted, it should be kept in mind which character has said it to whom in which situation.
