BI News, Ranchi: Palamu DC Shashi Ranjan conducted a review meeting of the Health Department at the Conference Hall. In the meeting, he examined the status of CHCs, UPHCs, UCHCs, medical colleges, district hospitals, ambulance services, OPD reports, lab reports, basic infrastructure, ANMs, DMFT-approved medical staff and doctors, health center buildings, and under-construction buildings, among other detailed information.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the preparations for Mission Indradhanush 5.0 vaccination campaign. During the session, he instructed relevant officials to work collaboratively at all levels for the success of the campaign. Emphasizing the importance of avoiding any errors in vaccination efforts, he highlighted the special consideration for pregnant women and children deprived of vaccination during the campaign.

Using PowerPoint presentation, the DPM provided detailed information to the District Magistrate about the preparations undertaken so far. Additionally, the District Magistrate directed officials to construct a public health center in Hariharganj and improve healthcare facilities. He stressed the need for regular inspections of CSCs by magistrates, and directed MOIC to inspect the Kasturba Gandhi Residential School for cleanliness and other aspects twice a month.

He mentioned plans for a health department team to visit rural areas, raising awareness about health programs. In the meeting, a shortage of manpower in civil surgery was brought to the District Magistrate’s attention, prompting him to instruct the Civil Surgeon to appoint MOs in all CHCs under DMFT. He asserted that there should be no deficiencies in the healthcare system in the district and warned of actions against non-performing health workers. Alongside Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan, civil surgeons, DPM, and other officials attended the meeting on-site.
