During this, State President Umesh Singh Kushwaha in his address accused BJP and said that the present government does not want the welfare of the farmers of the country. On one hand, our food providers are forced to commit suicide under the pressure of small loans, while on the other hand, the Modi government waives off loans worth lakhs and crores of rupees to the capitalists in one stroke.

The State President said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power at the Center in the name of doubling the income of farmers. Almost 10 years of his reign are about to be completed but till now the income of the farmers has not doubled, rather anti-farmer policies have been implemented and they have been harassed in every way. The farmers of the country have suffered the most due to the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel.

The state president said that 76 percent of the people of Bihar are dependent on farming. And Chief Minister Nitish Kumar knew very well that without the development of agriculture, overall development of the state is not possible. Therefore, as soon as he took charge of Bihar, he started working on the agricultural roadmap and in the year 2008, Bihar got its first roadmap. This agricultural roadmap which ran till 2012 was worth Rs 7 thousand 62 crores. At the same time, the fourth agricultural roadmap of Bihar running from 2023 to 2028 is worth Rs 1 lakh 62 thousand crores which has been inaugurated recently by His Excellency the President. This shows with what determination the Nitish government is working in the field of agriculture.

The State President said that we not only have to be proud of the achievements of the Bihar government in the last 18 years, but also have to reach the benefits of all the schemes started in the field of agriculture to the grassroots. Along with this, the hollow promises made by the Central Government to the farmers also have to be exposed. We have to move forward with our leaders step by step and gather with full strength in 2024 so that we can uproot the corrupt and inefficient government at the Centre.
