BI News, Palamu: On the occasion of National Press Day, a discussion on “Artificial Intelligence” was organized. Artificial intelligence is bringing rapid positive changes in the country and the world. It is the need of the hour. Embracing artificial intelligence in social endeavors will be beneficial. With the help of artificial intelligence, we can progress rapidly and bring positive transformations,” said Palamu Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan during a seminar on “Media in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” held as part of the National Press Day celebration.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the power of artificial intelligence in understanding human emotions, suggesting the establishment of an AI lab in Palamu. The lab aims to integrate artificial intelligence into education and governance, imparting new knowledge to 50 children. Reflecting on his experiences, the Deputy Commissioner mentioned the time it takes to adopt new technology, but highlighted society’s swift acceptance.

Anand, the Regional Director of Information and Public Relations for Palamu, conducted the seminar, underscoring the crucial role of artificial intelligence in the dissemination of information in the digital age. He expressed optimism about the positive outcomes of using technology in media, acknowledging the potential benefits in investigative journalism. Senior journalist Gokul Basant underscored the importance of preserving the dignity of the press. He praised the Press Council of India for guiding the press in adapting to the changing landscape and endorsed the Council’s focus on “Media in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” for Press Day 2023. Basant acknowledged the dual nature of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the need for responsible and ethical use.

Journalist Satis Mishra Suman acknowledged the challenges posed by the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence in the media field. He urged cooperation in overcoming these challenges, recognizing the significance of discerning relevant information in the era of digital communication.highlighted the evolving nature of journalism and the crucial role that artificial intelligence plays in various sectors, including media, education, and health.
