On March 4, 2025, the Union Bank of India’s regional office for Delhi North held a significant MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) outreach camp at the BD Block Club in Shalimar Bagh. This event saw participation from all branches within the Delhi North region and aimed at increasing awareness and support for small and medium enterprises.
The primary objective of the camp was to educate MSMEs about banking services and various government schemes designed to facilitate their growth. During the course of the event, Union Bank successfully generated leads amounting to 260 Crores, highlighting the enthusiasm and potential of the local business community. Out of these leads, the bank distributed sanction letters totaling 170 Crores to its clients, showcasing its effective financial services tailored to meet the unique needs of small entrepreneurs.
The program was graced by the presence of Ms. Ayushi, an IAS officer, who served as the chief guest. She underscored the vital role that the MSME sector plays in the Indian economy, describing it as the backbone of the nation. Ms. Ayushi emphasized that the growth of this sector could significantly accelerate the overall economic growth rate of the country.
