Programs will be organized at district level from 1st to 7th November

BI News, Patna: MLA cum party’s chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar addressed the press conference at Karpoori Auditorium of JDU headquarters. During this, Jehanabad MP Chandeshwar Prasad Chandravanshi, State President of JDU Extremely Backward Cell Dharmendra Kumar Chandravanshi, Shivshankar Nishad, Bunty Chandravanshi were present.
Addressing the journalists, Neeraj Kumar said that after the release of caste based census report, JDU has ensured to organize a district level gratitude program to express gratitude towards Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. This program is to be organized from 1 to 7 November.

Also giving information, he said that in the first phase of Jannayak Karpuri discussion, it was held in 5 Vidhan Sabhas, in the second phase, it was held in 55 Vidhan Sabhas and on October 8, it was held in 2 Vidhan Sabhas, that is, till now the Karpuri discussion program has been completed in 62 Vidhan Sabhas. Programs are to be held in the remaining 181 assemblies. The third phase of this program will start from October 27 and will continue till November 5. During this period, this program is proposed in total 42 assemblies.

Neeraj Kumar said that through the district level gratitude program, the party will expose the anti-OBC face of BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had associated himself with the extremely backward community in the meeting in Kannauj. Then we raised the question that the Prime Minister belongs to the Modh Ghanchi community and his ancestors considered Ahmedabadi Ghanchi, Champerenia Ghanchi, Patni Ghanchi, Surti Ghanchi, Khambhati Ghanchi and Pancholi Ghanchi untouchable. Didn’t eat the food cooked by them. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi, suffering from the mentality of social discrimination, declared himself a fake backward class for the sake of votes.
Neeraj Kumar said that Jannayak Karpuri actually belonged to the most backward society. He asked if this is the reason why Jannayak Karpuri Thakur is not being given Bharat Ratna? A resolution was passed from the Bihar Legislature that Jannayak Karpoori Thakur should be given Bharat Ratna.

Our MP Chandeshwar Prasad Chandravanshi tried to raise this issue in the House too but the BJP is not paying any heed to it. Neeraj Kumar asked whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not want to give Bharat Ratna to Karpoori Thakur only because of social prejudice?
He said that Jannayak Karpoori Thakur worked to fight against social untouchability. He wrote a long saga on the struggle for political questions. BJP should clarify whether it is for these reasons that they have a problem with the personality of Jannayak Karpoori Thakur. In 2021, the BJP central government stopped the scholarship of students from backward and extremely backward communities from classes 1 to 8. This shows how much hatred BJP has towards public leader Karpoori Thakur.

In Jharkhand, organizing the tournament is a significant achievement for us : Savita

He said that Mandal Commission, Rohini Commission, Kaka Kalelkar Commission, Extremely Backward Commission and the Supreme Court have also talked about conducting caste census but the Modi government at the Center has worked to ignore all the sentiments. All these things will be exposed before the public in the district level gratitude program. It will also be told that BJP got petitions filed by its intellectual supporters from the High Court to the Supreme Court to stop the caste census.
Accusing the BJP, Neeraj Kumar said that they are afraid of their sins being exposed, that is why the Modi government is not conducting the caste census at the national level and it will also become public that the Prime Minister’s ancestors believed in social untouchability.

Bengal CM Warns, Balu (Jyotipriya Mullick) is not keeping well. If he dies (because of the raids), then we will have to lodge FIRs against the BJP as well as against the ED

BI News, Kolkata : In a remarkable allegation against the central investigating agencies, Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee claimed that the probe bodies inflict extreme physical torture on suspects to extract confessions during their interrogation sessions.
Lashing out at the BJP for allegedly manipulating central agencies and the Enforcement Directorate for raiding the residence of former food and supplies minister Jyotipriya Mullick in connection with an alleged ration distribution corruption case, Banerjee also threatened to lodge FIRs against both the party and the probe agency in the event the Mullick’s health deteriorates.
“You think that they (the agencies) only carry out mental torture and no physical torture is involved? They won’t allow you inside (the interrogation chambers). Ask me. I will tell you that they target specific parts of the body, the private parts, to extract names of people they want to hear. Find out the details from your sources or ask me quietly, I will give you details. That is the kind of torture and inhumane treatment currently being meted out,” Banerjee said while addressing reporters from her Kalighat residence on Thursday.
“Balu (Jyotipriya Mullick) is not keeping well. He has high blood sugar. If he dies (because of the raids), then we will have to lodge FIRs against the BJP as well as against the ED,” Banerjee remarked.

Referring to the effects of mental pressure suffered by her party leaders on account of the agency, Banerjee said: “Our former MP Sultan Ahmed failed to recover from the shock. Minutes after receiving a summons, he collapsed in his washroom and died. The wife of our Arjuna awardee MP Prasun Banerjee also died under similar circumstances. The families don’t say these things in public for fear of agency backlash, but I know that’s the truth.”
Following the recent arrest of businessman Bakibur Rahaman in connection with the ration scam, the ED launched a search operation from Thursday morning, a day after Bijaya Dashami, at nine locations in and around the city, including Mullick’s dual properties at BC 244 and 245 in Salt Lake and his ancestral house in Beniatola Lane in central Calcutta.
Rahaman, who allegedly played a key role in the public distribution system irregularities and corruption in distribution of food grains in the state during the Covid-19 lockdown, had allegedly maintained close links with the former food, now forest, minister of Bengal.
ED sources claim to have already unearthed properties worth Rs 100 crores owned by Rahaman, who started with a rice mill business in 2004 and then went on to own several hotels, resorts and bars besides owning over 1,600 cottahs of land and some nine flats including properties in Dubai. The agency claimed in court that investigations in Rahaman’s financial transactions and property holdings revealed suspicious money movement in excess of Rs 50 crore in at least six of the 20 companies he owned. The 53-hour search operations from his Kaikhali residence prior to his arrest last week resulted in confiscation of over a hundred government papers from his flat.

Besides landing up at Mullick’s places on Thursday, the ED also raided residences of the minister’s personal assistant, Amit Dey’s properties in the Nager Bazar area of Dum Dum in the northern extent of Calcutta. Dey reportedly owns three flats in the area. While two of the apartments in one of the complexes were found locked, the probe team managed to get inside the third apartment where Dey lives. Other teams of the agency were also have learnt to have reached the residences of Dey’s friend, Ronny Dey, a businessman in Beliaghata, the house of Mullick’s Chartered Accountant in Ranikuthi and the residence of Mullick’s yet another personal assistant in the Kadamtala area of Howrah. Searches at these places, which began in the morning, were still on at the time of the filing of this report.

Mamata Banerjee, meanwhile, alleged a political witch hunt against Trinamul leaders. “Show me one BJP leader whose house has been searched by the central agencies,” she demanded. Calling the BJP a party of “pathological liars”, Banerjee “The BJP is playing a dirty game to unleash political vendetta.”

Ethics Committee head to seek the help of Home, IT ministries in probing the allegations against the TMC MP

BI News, New Delhi : The Ethics Committee of the Lok Sabha has asked Trinamul Congress member Mahua Moitra to appear before it on October 31 in connection with the cash-for-query allegations against her.
After a meeting of the panel on Thursday, its head and BJP MP Vinod Kumar Sonkar also said they will seek assistance from the Ministries of Home Affairs and IT in probing the allegations against the TMC MP. Moitra has been asked to appear before the panel on October 31, Sonkar said.

The panel on Thursday recorded statements of lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai and BJP leader Nishikant Dubey in connection with the matter.
In his complaint to Speaker Om Birla, BJP member Dubey has cited documents shared by Dehadrai to back his cash-for-query allegations against Moitra. Birla had referred the matter to the Ethics Committee.

Dehadrai was the first to record his statement before the Ethics Committee, while Dubey appeared before the panel in the afternoon. Dubey told reporters that he would reply to whatever questions the committee would ask him. “Documents don’t lie,” Dubey said when pointed out that Moitra had refuted all the allegations levelled against her.
In the letter to Birla dated October 15, Dubey said the advocate, close to Moitra before they fell out, has shared “irrefutable evidence of bribes exchanged” between her and businessman Darshan Hiranandani to target the Adani Group and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The fiery TMC member dismissed the charges as a “jilted ex’s lies”, a reference to Dehadrai, and accused the Adani Group of being behind them to target her as she has been relentless in raising questions on the conglomerate’s practices and transactions.
In his letter to the speaker, Dubey said 50 of 61 questions she asked in Lok Sabha till recently were focused on the Adani Group.
In a signed affidavit, Hiranandani, the CEO of real estate-to-energy eponymous group, who allegedly paid her to raise questions in Parliament, said the TMC leader targeted Gautam Adani to “malign and embarrass” Modi whose impeccable reputation gave the opposition no opportunity to attack him.

Qatar Shocks India, Sentences 8 ex-Indian Navy officers to death

Deeply shocked, says MEA, we are exploring all legal options
The silence of Qatari authorities on the matter is surprising

BI News, NEW DELHI: A court in Qatar on Thursday gave the death sentence to eight former Indian Navy personnel held on unspecified charges since August 2022, with the Indian government expressing deep shock at the verdict and saying it is “exploring all legal options”.
India’s foreign ministry said in a statement, the Court of First Instance of Qatar passed a judgement in the case involving 8 Indian employees of Al Dahra company. The MEA said that “we are deeply shocked by the verdict of death penalty and are awaiting the detailed judgement”. We are in touch with the family members of the Indians, also former Navy officers, and the legal team, and we are exploring all legal options, the MEA said. The external affairs ministry declined to make any further comment citing the “confidential nature of proceedings” in the case against the eight men. All the eight were employees of Al Dahra Global Technologies, a pvt firm that provided training and other services to Qatar’s armed forces and security agencies.

“We attach high importance to this case, and have been following it closely. We will continue to extend all consular and legal assistance. We will also take up the verdict with Qatari authorities,” the statement said. It added: “Due to the confidential nature of proceedings of this case, it would not be appropriate to make any further comment at this juncture.”
The case has been surrounded by uncertainty as both the Indian and Qatari sides maintained complete silence on the charges against the eight men.
Soon after the men were detained, Al Dahra’s website said that it was under maintenance and the firm’s listing on Linkedin was removed. The firm earlier described itself as a “local business partner” for the Qatari armed forces.

The officers among the detained men have been decorated with military and civilian honours and some have held senior positions in the Indian Navy. Commander (retired) Purnendu Tiwari, who is among the detained Indians, served as Al Dahra’s managing director and commanded several warships while serving with the navy. Captain Navtej Singh Gill, Captain Birendra Kumar Verma, Captain Saurabh Vasisht, Commander Amit Nagpal, Commander Purnendu Tiwari, Commander Sugunakar Pakala, Commander Sanjeev Gupta and Sailor Ragesh were arrested by Qatari intelligence service from Doha.
The bail pleas of the men were rejected numerous times and their detention extended by Qatari authorities. For a long time, they were held in solitary confinement and not allowed to meet their families. Following the intervention of Indian authorities, officials from the Indian embassy in Qatar were given consular access to the men and meetings and phone calls were arranged with their relatives.

The seventh hearing in the case was held on October 3, when it became clear that a judgment was expected this month. India’s ambassador in Qatar and his deputy met the men in prison on October 1 after being granted consular access. People familiar with the matter said on condition of anonymity that the eight men were charged with espionage. The people said an Indian journalist and their spouse were recently ordered by Qatari authorities to leave the country for reporting on the case. The silence of Qatari authorities on the matter was perceived as surprising, given the West Asian country’s good relations with India. While India has significantly stepped up defence cooperation with countries such as Saudi Arabia only in recent years, it has had strong defence ties with Qatar for much longer.
The website of the Indian embassy in Doha describes defence cooperation as “an important pillar of our bilateral agenda”. India offers training slots in its defence institutions to Qatar, and Indian Navy and Coast Guard ships regularly visit Qatar as part of the bilateral cooperation. India and Qatar signed a Defence Cooperation Agreement in November 2008.

Urgent Need for Monitoring in Private Hospitals in the State

0

BI News, Ranchi: : In a concerning revelation, private hospitals in the state of Jharkhand lack proper monitoring systems. To address this issue, the establishment of helpdesks in hospitals has become imperative. Negligence of the state government towards improving healthcare facilities, especially for the middle-class population, where bearing medical expenses is a significant challenge. Despite the government’s promises to enhance healthcare services, the ground reality remains grim. Patients admitted to private hospitals often face unregulated billing practices, leading to financial strain.

In this dire situation, patients who are unable to afford private hospital expenses are compelled to seek treatment elsewhere. The absence of a helpdesk at RIMS (Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences) further exacerbates the problem, forcing patients to opt for private hospitals. This situation not only affects their finances but also exposes them to unprofessional behavior from hospital staff.

“Modi to Unveil 37th National Games in Goa Today”

Despite the increasing number of critical patients, the state’s healthcare system in government hospitals operates at a snail’s pace. Urgent steps, such as implementing an online appointment system and establishing a dedicated helpdesk connected directly to the Chief Minister’s office, are essential. The state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, must act promptly to streamline the healthcare system, ensuring immediate and efficient medical services for all citizens.

Time is of the essence, and the government must take proactive measures to set up helpdesks in both public and private hospitals, providing a model for other states to follow.

OPS objection to government in Lok Sabha elections

Crosser:- Demand for support of Delhi LDA staff on 3rd December

BI News, Agencies: Central and state government employees seem to be adamant on their demand for implementation of old pension. A large number of employees are preparing to participate in the Delhi elections once again on 3rd December.
In this matter, LDA Staff Union President Vinodani Mishra, while talking to Emerging World, said that the old pension scheme should be implemented in any case. Because this is the only support of the employees after retirement. If even that is not there then the family they brought up will not support them in old age. Vinodani said that there is a pension scheme for all the scale up to the village head but why not for the employees? Why pension to Prime Minister Modi and his associates, old pension to his employees over objections! This is hypocrisy and step-motherly behavior.

He informed that the staff in LDA was abolished in 1984 in 2010. In such a situation, employees cannot pay even milk bills under the new pension scheme. Then how will he support himself? He said that in this era of inflation, if he is supportive of the family, he will be snatched away. The government should accept this demand selectively otherwise it may oust him from power in the coming Lok Sabha elections. He said that the old political party will implement the pension scheme with the employee union. He said that the central government still has time.

He said that the court has decided in favor of the employees. Then why the government is lagging behind in implementing this, it is not understood.
After all, crores of rupees were spent on the new Parliament. If the loans of the banks are being waived off, the country is not suffering any loss and the employees are losing their old pensions. This argument is being given wrong.

While supporting the Mahila Natkhat Bill, Vinodani Mishra said that women leaders of every political party should join them. Women are not less than men in any respect. Today, women are showcasing their talent outside the home. Today there is no field where women are not capable.
He told that on December 3, people from 32 districts of the state are going to Delhi on a large scale. We will definitely get the old pension system implemented.

Rahul Gandhi interviews Satya Pal Malik about Pulwama, Adani and Manipur

Malik was the last governor of Jammu and Kashmir before it was designated as a Union Territory
Claimed that the Pulwama attack was used politically by the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party

BI News, New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday released a new video interviewing former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik, posing questions to him on a host of issues, including Pulwama terror attack, the farmers’ stir and Gautam Adani.
Malik, who was the last governor of Jammu and Kashmir before it was designated as a Union Territory, claimed that the Pulwama attack was used politically by the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party. The former governor of Jammu and Kashmir had been in charge when the Pulwama attack happened. A total of 40 CRPF personnel were killed in February, 2019 when Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed’s suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into their bus.

Accusing the government for its “lapses” that led to the Pulwama attack in 2019, Malik said a systemic failure led to the deaths of 40 CRPF soldiers.
“Why did the Pulwama incident happen? They had asked for five aircraft. Had I been asked, I would have given those right away. I provided aircraft to students stuck in the snow. It is easy to get aircraft on rent in Delhi. But their application was lying for four months in the home ministry. And then it was rejected. The CRPF personnel then took the road which was known to be unsafe,” Malik said.
“I told two channels that it was our fault but I was asked to not say this anywhere…I thought my statements might impact the investigation, but there was no investigation. It was used for the purpose of election. On the third day, PM Modi gave his speech where he used it politically.” Satya Pal Malik said.

Scam in the name of teacher recruitment job: Samrat Chaudhary

Malik talked about the ₹20,000 crore investment that the Adani Group secured and was brought up by Rahul Gandhi in Parliament. He asked where did the group secure such a huge amount.
Satya Pal Malik told Rahul Gandhi that the government failed to keep its promise on MSP because Adani built huge go-downs, purchased crops at a lower price.

“Next year, their prices will increase and he will sell those. If MSP is implemented, a farmer won’t sell his products to them at a cheaper rate,” Satya Pal Malik said.
Malik told Rahul Gandhi that Manipur situation is another failure of the PM Modi government, wherein the CM (Biren Singh) has also failed. Satya Pal Malik said the government has no control in Manipur. “But it is only for six months. I can give in writing. They will not come back to power,” Satya Pal Malik said.

Declaring CM a terrorist is an insult, action should be taken: Samrat

BI News, Patna: BJP President Samrat strongly condemned the police lathi charge on the candidates who came out in protest alleging irregularities in teacher recruitment and said that this is a joke with democracy. He said that sometimes lathi charge is being done on students and sometimes on teachers.
While discussing with the journalists in Patna today, Samrat Chaudhary said that the way the incident happened today clearly shows that the Nitish government is doing the work of providing jobs only in name. Scam is happening in the name of job.

Samrat Chaudhary Chaudhary said that BJP has been saying from the beginning that all the candidates who have passed STET, TET should be given direct appointment, then why is the work of running them through BPSC. He said that all the people sitting in the government have become accustomed to scams, so now there is no hope from them.

“Ravi Kishan, Daler Mehndi, and Anamika Honored with Saraswati Samman in Tashkent”

Here, when asked by JDU’s chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar regarding the animation video, he said that BJP believes that the CM cannot be declared a terrorist. This is wrong.

He said that it is a matter of disgrace for the CM also that he became a suicide bummer. He said that Nitish Kumar himself is the Home Minister, he should take action against such people. Doing this falls under the category of crime. When asked about JDU fielding candidates in Madhya Pradesh, Choudhary said that now if he does not have any status in Bihar, what will he do in Madhya Pradesh.
