AICTE Allows Working Professionals to Enhance Academic Credentials via B.Tech and Diploma Programs

AICTE extends admission date till 30th October, 2023

BI News, New Delhi: In an effort to help working professionals pursue their higher education, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has now officially permitted them to pursue diploma, BTech/BE degrees from AICTE-affiliated institutes. This initiative is a continuous education programme for in-service persons that will help them in their professional upgradation.

In order to streamline the admission process and on the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, AICTE has come up with proper guidelines for the institutes and decided to extend the last date for admission till 30th October, 2023.

AICTE constituted a committee of experts for the assessment and final selection of Institutes, who are keen to offer courses for working professionals for the academic year 2023-24 only in the approved disciplines having NBA accreditation. Based on this assessment, a total of 137 AICTE approved Institutes from Pan India including aspirational districts, North East states, Hilly areas and J&K have been selected to offer 306 courses in the B.E/B.Tech program. In total, 9180 seats are available for diploma holder working professionals who can now pursue B.E/B.Tech degree.

Similarly, 174 AICTE approved Institutes from across the country including aspirational districts, North East states, Hilly areas and J&K are selected to run 360 diploma courses for ITI working professionals. A total of 10800 seats are offered for ITI working professionals to pursue for diploma courses.

Guideline for Institutes offering courses for working professionals:

● Institutes can offer only AICTE approved courses/disciplines, (NBA accreditations for B.E/B.Tech courses)

● Maximum three courses can be offered by an Institute.

● Only four Institute per district are allowed to offer courses.

● Intake of maximum 30 students is allowed per course.

● Admission of minimum 10 students in each course is mandatory to run the courses/programmes.

With this decision, AICTE will support the professionals who want a flexible study schedule. The professionals working in recognized industries or organizations with minimum one-year work experience will be eligible for the programmes/ courses. It is mandatory for an applicant to submit an NOC from their employer to pursue a degree/ diploma.

AICTE instructs all state governments to ensure that all Institutes complete the admission process for regular students and working professionals before the last date i.e. 30th October, 2023. It is important to note that the last date for admission will remain the same for all States/UTs. Interested candidates who are interested in upgrading their education qualification can take admission before the last date.

Meeting to Ensure Successful Organization of Women’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy – 2023

BI News, Ranchi: Under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha, a meeting was organized to discuss the successful organization of the Women’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy – 2023. The meeting took place in the conference hall of the Secretariat, where Deputy Development Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Yadav, Varied Police Superintendent Chandan Kumar Sinha from Ranchi, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Rajeshwar Nath Alok, and nodal officers from the core team formed at the district level were present.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha reviewed the preparations made so far and provided detailed directions and guidelines. He coordinated with the nodal officers responsible for transport, logistics, IT, security/law and order maintenance, traffic security, medical team, media and PR team, protocol, airport arrangements, hotel team, fire safety, sound and electricity, drinking water and sanitation teams.

Deputy Commissioner Sinha emphasized the importance of coordination between the core team’s nodal officers and officials from Hockey India. He highlighted that the tournament, scheduled from October 27 to November 5, 2023, will host teams from six countries. The preparations for the tournament have been ongoing for several days, and sub-committees have been formed at the district level under the guidance of the honorable Chief Minister. Each committee has been assigned specific responsibilities.

Deputy Commissioner Sinha instructed the nodal officers to conduct site visits and ensure proper arrangements at the stadium. He discussed crowd control, parking management, visitor safety, security checks, hotel accommodation, logistic arrangements, and other related aspects. Deputy Commissioner Sinha expressed confidence that all arrangements will be completed smoothly. He also requested the Puja committees to remove pandals from the roads by October 24 and 25 for the convenience of the public.

During the meeting, Senior Police Superintendent Chandan Kumar Sinha provided directions regarding security, stadium, and surrounding areas. He emphasized the need for secure areas, security checks of people entering the stadium, parking management, crowd management, and other relevant aspects.

President Draupadi Murmu Launches Bihar’s Fourth Agricultural Roadmap

BI News, Patna: President Smt. Draupadi Murmu launched the fourth Agriculture Road Map of Bihar (2023-2028) in Patna today. Speaking on the occasion, the President said that agriculture is an important part of the folk culture of Bihar and is the basic foundation of Bihar’s economy. Agriculture and allied sectors not only provide employment to almost half of the state’s workforce but also contribute significantly to the state’s GDP, hence all-round development of the agriculture sector is very important.

She was happy to know that the Bihar government has been implementing the agriculture road map since 2008. She said that as a result of the implementation of the last three agricultural road maps, the productivity of paddy, wheat and maize in the state has almost doubled. Bihar has also become far ahead of other states in the production of mushroom, honey, makhana and fish. She said that the launch of the fourth agricultural road map is an important step that will help in taking this effort forward.

The President said that it is believed that the farmers of Bihar are far ahead in adopting new technologies and new experiments in farming. This is why a Nobel Prize-winning economist called the farmers of Nalanda “greater than scientists.” She was happy to note that despite adopting modern farming methods, farmers of Bihar have preserved traditional methods of agriculture and varieties of grains. She described it as a good example of harmony of tradition with modernity.

The President urged the farmers of Bihar to take advantage of the increasing demand for organic products. She said that organic farming is not only helpful in reducing the cost of agriculture and protecting the environment, but it is also capable of increasing the income of farmers and providing nutritious food to the people. She was happy to learn that the Bihar government has created an organic corridor in the districts along the banks of Ganga to promote organic farming.

The President said that global warming and climate change are a threat to the existence of all humanity, but they impact the poor the most. She said that Bihar has received very less rainfall in recent years. She said that Bihar is considered a water-rich state and rivers and ponds are the identity of this state.To maintain this identity, it is very important to pay attention to water conservation.

आयुर्वेद दिवस: 100 देशों में अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मनाया जाएगा।

She said that climate-friendly agriculture can play an important role in meeting the challenge of climate change. By bringing about changes in the current farming system, biodiversity can be promoted, exploitation of water resources can be reduced, soil fertility can be conserved and above all, balanced food can be delivered to the plates of the people.

The President was very happy to know that ethanol is being produced from maize, the main crop of Bihar. She said that this is an important step towards reducing the country’s dependence on fossil fuels and energy security and environmental protection. The President said that Bihar has a very important contribution in fulfilling the dream of a developed India, but to turn this dream into reality, we have to rise above the narrow mindset. There is no option other than overall development to make Bihar a developed state.

Policy makers and the people of Bihar will have to decide and implement a road map for the progress of the state. She said that it is a matter of satisfaction that the agriculture road map is being implemented in Bihar, but he will be more happy when Bihar continues to move forward on the path of progress by making a road map on every parameter of development – be it the field of health. Be it the field of education, per capita income or happiness index.

In the GMI Summit, PM Modi says IMEEC will transform the landscape of new global trade.

BI News, India: PM Narendra Modi on October 16, said the Silk Route of the past that accelerated the global economy, the India-Middle East Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC) will transform the picture of new global trade. PM Modi also said India will take up several projects such as the development of the next-generation mega port, international container trans-shipment port, island development, inland waterways, and multi-modal hubs as a part of the cross-country economic corridor plan.

Addressing the Global Maritime India Summit (GMIS) virtually, PM Modi said, “The operation of this corridor will result in a reduction in cost of business, improve logistical efficiency, cut environmental degradation and create jobs. This is a great opportunity for investors to become part of this campaign and join India.”

The Centre has started mapping tasks for augmenting the capacity of ports on the western coast – JNPT, Kandla, Mumbai and Mundra, and also plans to start work for the development of Rs 65,500 crore greenfield port at Vadhavan in Maharashtra in December. The government aims to make this largest port with a natural draft of about 20 metres close to the shore fully ready to meet the additional demand that would be generated due to the IMEEC.

PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for projects worth more than Rs 23,000 crore that are aligned with the Indian maritime blue economy and highlighted the government’s focus on the shipbuilding and repair sector as he pointed out the manufacturing of indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant as the proof of India’s capacity.

आयुर्वेद दिवस: 100 देशों में अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मनाया जाएगा।

BI News, India: हर साल धन्वंतरि जयंती के अवसर पर ‘आयुर्वेद दिवस’ मनाया जाता है। इस वर्ष 11 नवंबर को आयुर्वेद दिवस दुनिया भर के लगभग 100 देशों में अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मनाया जाएगा। ‘वन हेल्‍थ के लिए आयुर्वेद’ की थीम पर ‘आयुर्वेद दिवस’ का मनाया जाना एक वैश्विक कार्यक्रम होगा और इसे सफल बनाने के लिए आयुष मंत्रालय को देश के सभी मंत्रालयों का सहयोग मिलेगा। आयुष मंत्रालय ने ‘आयुर्वेद दिवस’ के सफल आयोजन के लिए विभिन्न मंत्रालयों के साथ एक बैठक की। आयुष मंत्रालय के सचिव वैद्य राजेश कोटेचा ने बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए कहा कि आयुर्वेद दिवस को पीएम मोदी के विजन के अनुरूप देश के सभी मंत्रालयों के परस्‍पर सहयोग और सहायता से एक राष्ट्रीय कार्यक्रम के रूप में आयोजित किया जाना चाहिए।

2016 से मनाया जा रहा है आयुर्वेद दिवस

भारत के बाद अब पूरी दुनिया ने आयुर्वेद की ताकत को माना है। ऐसे में आयुर्वेदो पर हो रहे अनुसंधान मौजूदा दौर में इसकी बढ़ती उपयोगिता पर मुहर लगा रहे हैं। आयुर्वेद जीवन का विज्ञान है जो प्रकृति के साथ और प्रकृति के करीब रह कर जीवन जीना सिखाता है। आयुर्वेद स्वस्थ्य जीवन का आधार है। 2016 से प्रति वर्ष धनवंतरी दिवस के दिन आयुर्वेद दिवस मनाया जाता है।

आयुर्वेद दिवस’ को एक वैश्विक उत्सव बनाना

बैठक में विभिन्न मंत्रालयों के प्रतिनिधि अधिकारियों ने ‘आयुर्वेद दिवस’ को बेहद सफल बनाने के लिए आयुष मंत्रालय के साथ अपने विचार साझा किए। मुख्य रूप से गृह, संस्कृति, विदेश, जनजातीय, जल संसाधन, विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग, सीएसआईआर आदि मंत्रालयों और विभागों ने अपने विचार साझा किए और कहा कि हमें डिजिटल प्रौद्योगिकी की शक्ति का उपयोग करके और विभिन्न सहभागितापूर्ण गतिविधियों को संगठित कर ‘आयुर्वेद दिवस’ को एक वैश्विक उत्सव बनाना चाहिए। ‘आयुर्वेद दिवस’ को सफल बनाने के लिए सभी मंत्रालयों ने आयुष मंत्रालय के साथ अपनी-अपनी भागीदारी के बारे में चर्चा की।

आयुर्वेद सभी के लिए उपयोगी

आयुष सचिव ने कहा कि हमें ‘प्रतिदिन सभी के लिए आयुर्वेद’ के संदेश के साथ आयुर्वेद दिवस के तीन मुख्य बिंदुओं ‘छात्रों के लिए आयुर्वेद, किसानों के लिए आयुर्वेद, सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य के लिए आयुर्वेद’ पर ध्यान केंद्रित करना होगा। आयुर्वेद दिवस का उद्देश्य आयुर्वेद का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर प्रचार और प्रसार करना तथा मानव जाति, पशुओं, पौधों और पर्यावरण के कल्याण के लिए इसे वैश्विक परिदृश्य में स्थापित करना है।

BI News, India: The President of India, Droupadi Murmu conferred National Film Awards for the year 2021 under various categories at 69th edition of the ceremony in New Delh’s Vigyan Bhawan. Union Minister Anurag Thakur also graced his presence at the prestigious event.

The President highlighted the National Film Awards as a portrayal of India’s diversity and unity, praising the talented individuals for expressing various languages, regional traits, social beliefs, and societal issues, bringing together people from different generations and classes. She referred to the film fraternity and artists as change-makers who introduce India’s diverse reality through their work, emphasizing cinema’s role as both a societal document and a means for improvement. She expressed confidence in India’s abundant talent, foreseeing the film industry continuing to set global standards for excellence and contributing to the nation’s development.

During the ceremony, President Murmu presented awards to prominent figures such as Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt, Waheeda Rehman, and Pallavi Joshi, among many others.

Kriti Sanon was honored with the Best Actress Award for her role in ‘Mimi.’ Overwhelmed by the recognition, Kriti shared, “I am filled with immense gratitude. It’s a truly special moment, especially with my parents present to witness it. This is a feeling like no other.”

Alia Bhatta also received the Best Actress Award for her remarkable performance in the film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi.’ Expressing her gratitude, Alia Bhatt said, “This is a moment of immense significance, and I’m truly thankful.”

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun was awarded the Best Actor Award for his role in ‘Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1,’ marking his first National Award.

Rakshit Shetty’s film ‘777 Charlie’ was recognized as the Best Kannada Film, and he accepted the award on behalf of the team from President Droupadi Murmu.

Mirzapur fame Pankaj Tripathi received the Best Supporting Actor award for his performance in ‘Mimi.’ Reflecting on this achievement, he stated, “This award is a testament to the collective effort of the entire team. I extend my gratitude to the jury for selecting me, and I dedicate this award to my father.”

Pallavi Joshi was awarded the Best Supporting Actress for her role in ‘The Kashmir Files.’ She commented, “Receiving a national award is always a great honor. I now have high expectations regarding the audience’s response, given the recognition that ‘The Kashmir Files’ has received.”

Additionally, ‘The Kashmir Files’ was honored with the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration, and the award was accepted by director Vivek Agnihotri on behalf of the team.

Renowned music composer MM Keeravani was recognized with the National Award for Best Background Score for his work in director SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR.’ Keeravani’s son, Kaala Bhairava, received the award for Best Playback Singer for the song ‘Komuram Bheemudo.’

Karan Johar’s production ‘Shershaah,’ starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, received the Special Jury Award, and the honor was received by Karan and director Vishnu Vardhan.

R Madhavan’s directorial project ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ was named the Best Feature Film at the 69th National Awards. Madhavan expressed his happiness, saying, “I am extremely delighted and proud. It’s a wonderful award, and it feels very gratifying.”

Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman was presented with the Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award. During her acceptance speech, she humbly said, “I feel deeply honored and humbled. I owe my journey to the film industry to the wonderful directors, producers, technicians, writers, and music directors I had the privilege to work with. They have showered me with love and respect.”

Singer Shreya Ghoshal received the Best Female Playback Singer award for her rendition of the song ‘Mayava Chayava’ from the Tamil film ‘Iravin Nizhal.’ This marked Shreya’s fifth National Film Award.

देश की पहली रैपिडएक्स रेल के आने का इंतजार खत्म, PM मोदी शुक्रवार को देंगे इस सौगात का ऐलान।

BI News, India: देश की पहली रैपिडएक्स रेल का इंतजार जल्द खत्म होने जा रहा है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी उत्तर प्रदेश के गाजियाबाद में शुक्रवार (20 अक्टूबर 2023) को देश की पहली क्षेत्रीय रेल रैपिडएक्स का उद्घाटन करेंगे। प्रथम चरण में यह सेवा 17 किलोमीटर लंबी होगी, जिसमें पांच स्टेशन होंगे।

बताना चाहेंगे प्रधानमंत्री के कार्यक्रम की आगमन की तैयारी में प्रशासन पिछले कई दिनों से दिन-रात जुटा हुआ है। साथ एसपीजी भी डेरा डाल चुकी है। मौके पर कड़े सुरक्षा बंदोबस्त किए जा रहे हैं। पुलिस प्रशासन के उच्चाधिकारी लगातार जायजा ले रहे हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ समेत अनेक अतिथि इस कार्यक्रम में शामिल होंगे।

160 किलोमीटर प्रतिघंटा की रफ्तार से चलेगी रैपिडएक्स

इन पांच स्टेशनों में साहिबाबाद, गाजियाबाद, गुलधर, दुहाई और दुहाई-डिपो शामिल है। इसकी सेवाएं हर 15 मिनट पर उपलब्ध होंगी और यह 160 किलोमीटर प्रतिघंटा की चाल से चलेगी।

एक डिब्बा महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित

सरकारी प्रवक्ता के मुताबिक रेलगाड़ी में एक डिब्बा महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित होगा। दोनों ओर से पहली रेलगाड़ी छह बजे और अंतिम सेवा रात 11 बजे उपलब्ध रहेगी।

आम नागरिकों के लिए सेवाएं शनिवार से होगी चालू

आम नागरिकों के लिए सेवाएं शनिवार से चालू की जाएंगी। उद्घाटन से पहले एनसीआरटीसी ने बुधवार को मीडिया ट्रेन का ट्रायल रन कराया। इसमें मीडिया प्रतिनिधियों ने भाग लिया और रैपिडएक्स ट्रेन की एक तरह से प्रीमियर शो का आनंद लिया।

ट्रेन की खूबियां

रैपिडएक्स का ट्रायल साहिबाबाद आरआरटीएस स्टेशन से लेकर दुहाई स्टेशन तक चला। इस दौरान ट्रेन में 157 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा के हिसाब से भी दौड़ लगाई और चंद मिनट में अपने गंतव्य तक पहुंच गई। इस दौरान एनसीईआरटी के प्रवक्ता पुनीत वत्स व अन्य पदाधिकारी भी मौजूद रहे। उन्होंने ट्रेन की खूबियों के बारे में विस्तार से बताया।

प्रत्येक ट्रेन में 6 डिब्बे

प्रत्येक रैपिडएक्स ट्रेन में 6 डिब्बे हैं जिनमें लगभग 1700 यात्री एक साथ यात्रा कर सकते हैं। हर स्टैंडर्ड कोच में 72 सीटें और प्रीमियम कोच में 62 सीटें उपलब्ध हैं। प्रत्येक रैपिडएक्स ट्रेन में एक कोच महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित है, यह प्रीमियम कोच के बाद दूसरा कोच होगा। ट्रेन के अन्य कोचों में भी महिलाओं के लिए सीटें आरक्षित हैं। साथ ही, प्रत्येक कोच में विकलांग यात्रियों/वरिष्ठ नागरिकों के लिए भी सीटें आरक्षित हैं।

रैपिडएक्स ट्रेन में एक प्रीमियम कोच भी

प्रत्येक रैपिडएक्स ट्रेन में एक प्रीमियम कोच भी है जिसमें रिक्लाइनिंग सीटें, कोट हुक, मैगजीन होल्डर और फुटरेस्ट जैसी कई अतिरिक्त यात्री-केंद्रित सुविधाएं होंगी। दिल्ली से मेरठ की ओर जाने वाला पहला कोच और मेरठ से दिल्ली की ओर जाने वाला अंतिम कोच प्रीमियम कोच होगा।

NCR के लोगों को मिलेगी सुविधा

रीजनल रैपिड ट्रांसिट सिस्टम (आरआरटीएस) एक हाई-स्पीड, हाई-फ्रीक्वेंसी परिवहन प्रणाली है, जो 160 किमी प्रति घंटा की परिचालन गति से एनसीआर के निवासियों को क्षेत्र में निर्बाध रूप से यात्रा करने की सुविधा प्रदान करेगा। इसका 82 किमी लंबा प्रथम कॉरिडोर दिल्ली-गाजियाबाद-मेरठ के बीच निर्माणाधीन है।

नई दिल्ली में 3-5 नवंबर तक ‘वर्ल्ड फूड इंडिया 2023’ का दूसरा संस्करण आयोजित किया जा रहा है। पीएम मोदी 03 नवंबर को प्रगति मैदान के भारत मंडपम में कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन करेंगे। राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू 05 नवंबर को कार्यक्रम में समापन भाषण देंगी। वर्ल्ड फूड इंडिया के इस संस्करण में नीदरलैंड ‘साझेदार देश’ होगा, जबकि जापान और वियतनाम ‘फोकस देश’ हैं।

कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य वैश्विक हितधारकों से सहयोग और निवेश की अपेक्षा में भारतीय खाद्य प्रसंस्करण क्षेत्र को प्रदर्शित किया जा सके। इस कार्यक्रम को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाजरा वर्ष 2023 की गतिविधियों के हिस्से के तौर पर आयोजित किया जा रहा है और इसमें बाजरा (श्रीअन्न), जैविक उपज और स्वदेशी रूप से प्रसंस्कृत खाद्य पदार्थ कुछ फोकस वाले क्षेत्र होंगे।

केंद्रीय खाद्य प्रसंस्करण उद्योग एवं जल शक्ति राज्यमंत्री प्रह्लाद सिंह पटेल ने बुधवार को यह जानकारी दी। केंद्रीय मंत्री पटेल ने कहा कि भारत में खाद्य प्रसंस्करण क्षेत्र में निवेश की अपार संभावनाएं हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि वर्ल्ड फूड इंडिया-2023 में दुनिया का सबसे लंबा मिलेट डोसा बनाने के लिए 60 से 80 शेफ मिलकर काम करेंगे। 100 फीट से अधिक लंबा डोसा बनाकर वे गिनीज रिकॉर्ड बनाने का प्रयास करेंगे। सेलिब्रिटी शेफ रणवीर बरार द्वारा संचालित अनुभवात्मक फूड स्ट्रीट, भोजन के प्रति उत्साही और उद्योग के पेशेवरों के लिए मुख्य आकर्षण होंगे।

सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का भी आयोजन

अंतरराष्ट्रीय मोटा अनाज वर्ष-2023 का जश्न मनाने के लिए मोटे अनाज पेय पदार्थों के 50 हजार टेट्रा-पैक कंटेनरों की एक विशाल आकृति बनाई जाएगी और वंचित बच्चों को वितरित की जाएगी। तीन दिनों में आने वाले 75 हजार आगंतुकों को नृत्य और संगीत प्रदर्शन सहित सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का भी आनंद मिलेगा। केंद्रीय राज्यमंत्री पटेल ने बताया कि वर्ल्ड फूड इंडिया वैश्विक हितधारकों के सामने इस क्षेत्र की क्षमता पेश करने का एक प्रयास है। भारत सबसे तेजी से बढ़ती अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में से एक है, खासकर खाद्य प्रसंस्करण क्षेत्र में निवेश के कई अवसर हैं।

16 देशों ने कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने के लिए दी सहमति

उन्होंने बताया कि कार्यक्रम सरकार के विभिन्न विभागों के आपसी सहयोग का एक अनूठा उदाहरण है। 11 केंद्रीय मंत्रालय व विभाग और उनसे जुड़े स्वायत्त निकाय इसमें भाग ले रहे हैं। अब तक 23 राज्य व केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों और 16 देशों के प्रदर्शकों ने इस कार्यक्रम में भाग लेने के लिए सहमति दे दी है और कार्यक्रम के शेष दिनों में और अधिक हितधारकों के इसमें शामिल होने की संभावना है।

लगभग 1000 विदेशी खरीदारों के भाग लेने की संभावना

केंद्रीय मंत्री ने इस आयोजन में व्यापक अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रतिनिधित्व के बारे में भी बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि कई देशों के लगभग 10 विदेशी मंत्रिस्तरीय और आधिकारिक प्रतिनिधिमंडल इस आयोजन में भाग ले रहे हैं। इस आयोजन के हिस्से के रूप में वाणिज्य विभाग और उससे जुड़े कमोडिटी बोर्डों के सहयोग से एक रिवर्स बायर सेलर मीट का भी आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इसमें 75 से अधिक देशों के लगभग 1000 विदेशी खरीदारों के भाग लेने की संभावना है। कुल मिलाकर इस आयोजन में 900 से अधिक प्रदर्शकों के भाग लेने की संभावना है।

BI News, India: Prime Minister Modi has expressed deep grief over the tragic loss of lives at the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza. PM Modi extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.

In a X post, the Prime Minister said;

“Deeply shocked at the tragic loss of lives at the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza. Our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, and prayers for speedy recovery of those injured.

Civilian casualties in the ongoing conflict are a matter of serious and continuing concern. Those involved should be held responsible.”

The incident was initially reported by Gaza’s health ministry, claiming that an Israeli airstrike resulted in hundreds of casualties at the Al-Ahli al-Arabi hospital. However, Israel refuted this claim, suggesting that the explosion was the result of a failed rocket launch by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group, which denied any involvement.

The true extent of the casualties remains uncertain. Gaza health ministry spokesperson Ashraf Al-Qudra indicated that hundreds of people lost their lives, with rescue operations ongoing. Discrepancies in death tolls have been reported, with a Gaza civil defense chief initially mentioning 300 casualties, while health ministry sources suggested a toll of 500.

Regardless of the details, the incident has further fueled the ongoing crisis in the region, which was initially sparked by an October 7 cross-border attack by Hamas into southern Israel. This attack caught Israel off guard and resulted in a significant loss of life.

BI News, Agencies: Chinese President Xi Jinping warned against protectionism in the world as he opened the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) forum in Beijing on Wednesday (October 18), criticizing Western efforts to reduce dependence on the Chinese economy.

Xi also lauded his grand plan launched 10 years ago of building global infrastructure and energy networks connecting Asia with Africa and Europe through overland and maritime routes, saying that “blueprints turned into real projects.”

Representatives of more than 130 countries, largely from the Global South, attended the forum including several heads of state, of whom the most prominent was Xi’s “dear friend” Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We stand against unilateral sanctions, economic coercion, decoupling and supply chain disruption,” Xi told more than 1,000 delegates gathered in an ornate conference room in the Great Hall of the People west of Tiananmen Square.

Xi said our lives will not be better and our development will not be faster if we view the development of others as a threat and economic interdependence as a risk.
