BI News, New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has successfully attached assets worth a whopping Rs 538 crore belonging to the founder of Jet Airways, Naresh Goyal, along with his family members and associated companies. The ED, a central probe agency, revealed this news on Wednesday, highlighting that this action is part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged bank loan fraud involving the erstwhile Jet Airways.

Citing an extensive audit report, the ED has claimed that the loans availed by Jet Airways (India) Limited (JIL) were diverted for purchasing a range of immovable assets, including furniture, apparel, and jewelry, rather than being utilized for the intended purpose.

The attached assets include a total of 17 residential flats, bungalows, and commercial premises spread across various locations in London, Dubai, and different cities in India. These properties are registered under the names of various entities, such as Jetair Private Limited and Jet Enterprises Private Limited, in addition to being associated with Naresh Goyal, his wife Anita, and their son Nivaan, as confirmed by the federal agency in an official statement.

Naresh Goyal, who is 74 years old, had been taken into custody by the ED on September 1, marking a significant development in the case. The agency has now filed a chargesheet against him and five other individuals in connection with an alleged fraud amounting to Rs 538 crore at Canara Bank. Currently, Naresh Goyal is in judicial custody and is detained at the Arthur Road jail.

The chargesheet against Goyal and his co-accused has been submitted in a court in Mumbai, and it is expected that the court will take cognizance of the charges on Wednesday, according to a lawyer closely associated with the case.

This intricate money laundering case traces its origins back to the initial FIR filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against Jet Airways, Naresh Goyal, his wife Anita, and several former company executives of the now-defunct private airline. The allegations are centered on a massive fraud that has sent shockwaves through the financial sector.

Ltd.

He added that the state is expanding rapidly with air, rail, road and ropeway connectivity. So far this year, more than 52 lakh devotees have visited Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand. In Kumaon division, work is being done at a rapid pace under the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission.

Cabinet Minister Shri Premchand Aggarwal said that Uttarakhand offers a peaceful environment for setting up industries. 12 thousand water sources in the state have dried up, which is a matter of great concern for the future.
The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

BI News, Dehradun: Uttarakhand cabinet on Monday approved the proposal for setting up the state lavel spring and River Rejuvenation Authority ( SARA) and creation on the post for the same in the state.

According to the officials aware of the development in the meeting, SARA is being established in the view of the need for integrated implementation of rain water harvesting techniques such as check dams at the state level and the work is underway by various departments for the conservation and revival of springs and rivers in state. SARA will be registered under the Society Registration Act 1860, and a total of 195 different posts have been created for it.

Under SARA, a High Powered Committee ( HPC) will be formed under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, which will be approve the formulation of guiding principles for the execution of all the work related to the planing, approval, implementation and coordination of the schemes.
Uttarakhand is known for its many evergreen rivers irrigating the plains of North India. The state has a wide network of 213 rivers, including glaciers and rainfed ones.Water from rivers and many water sources together increases the flow in these rivers, but according to an estimate, about 12 thousand water sources in the state have dried up, which is a matter of great concern for the future.

He said that there should not be factionalism in any district. Everyone has to come together for the elections.


He instructed the workers to strengthen the organization at the booth level and talk about the rights and entitlements of backward classes, Dalits and minorities. The state executive meeting of SP was held on Wednesday at the party’s headquarters in Lucknow. Senior leaders Shivpal Singh Yadav and Ram Gopal Yadav along with more than 300 representatives attended the meeting. In which the party’s strategy was discussed.
SP spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary, who attended the meeting, said that SP is continuously struggling in the state. SP’s effort is to defeat BJP on all 80 seats in UP.
Now only six months are left for the Lok Sabha elections.

BI News, Ranchi: Congratulated Indian Women’s Hockey Team forward player Vandana Katariya for earning her 300th International Cap. Vandana, who hails from Roshnabad, Uttarakhand, achieved the feat during India’s match against Japan at the ongoing Women’s Asian Champions Trophy Ranchi 2023.

With this, Vandana also became the first women player from India to play 300 international games.

India have been unbeaten so far at the ongoing Women’s Asian Champions Trophy Ranchi 2023, winning their first game 7-1 against Thailand, winning 5-0 against Malaysia in their second match, and then beating China 2-1 in a thrilling encounter. The Indian Women’s Hockey Team will lock horns against Japan on 31st October 2023 and then will be up against Korea on 2nd November 2023.

Vandana came into the spotlight after she finished top scorer for the Indian Team at the Junior Women’s World Cup in Monchengladbach, Germany and played a key role in helping the team secure the Bronze medal. She has also been honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri Award in 2022. The veteran forward was a member of the Indian Team that won the Asian Champions Trophy in 2016 and the 2017 Women’s Asia Cup. She helped the team clinch the Bronze medal at the 2022 Asia Cup, finished third in the FIH Pro League 2021/22 and then won the FIH Nations Cup 2022. She also has the 2022 Commonwealth Bronze medal to her name.

Speaking on the milestone, Vandana said, “I am privileged to have represented India at national and international tournaments. BI News, Lucknow: A memorial will be constructed in his honor at Saifai, the birthplace of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Akhilesh Yadav told that Netaji was very fond of Saifai. He was born there, played, got educated, struggled and reached heights in politics. We are building a memorial in the memory of Netaji in Saifai. Its foundation stone will be laid on Netaji’s birthday, 22 November 2023. All senior socialist leaders of the party will be invited to the foundation stone laying program.
Akhilesh Yadav said that it will be our endeavor to get Netaji’s memorial ready as soon as possible before 2027. On this occasion, a video presentation regarding the construction of the memorial was also made.


Yadav said that Netaji has given a lot as inheritance to all of us. He struggled and carried forward the socialist ideology. It is the responsibility of us youth to take this movement forward and strengthen it.

There is a plan to create a grand park on 4.5 acres of land and manage public facilities for accessibility at the memorial. The glimpse and quality of folk art will be kept in mind in the design of this memorial.

The understanding and necessity of democracy and Gandhi’s peaceful and brilliant ideas of non-violence will also spread at this site.


The sculpture on the pillars of this site will be inspired and reflected from the art of Lumbini, Meerut and Allahabad of the era of Emperor Ashoka.

“Mastermind of Multi-Corer Land Fraud Registry Scam in Dehradun, K.P. Singh, Found Dead; Raises Concerns Similar to Vyapam
Scandal with Mysterious Deaths”

BI News, Dehradun: The death of KP Singh, one of the masterminds behind a land fraud registry scam in Dehradun, has raised suspicions. Singh was in jail and his health suddenly deteriorated before he was taken to the hospital where he died. This is the fourth suspicious death linked to the scam. The Special Investigation Team is now investigating the deaths. Singh was accused of replacing original land deeds with fake documents and destroying the originals from government records.

The sudden death of 51-year-old KP Singh — believed to be one of the masterminds of the ‘multi-crore land fraud registry scam’ in Dehradun in which original land deeds kept in the registry office were allegedly replaced by fake documents — in UP’s Saharanpur jail on Thursday has raised many eyebrows.

Singh’s health is alleged to have suddenly deteriorated in the prison, from where he was taken to the district hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.
Singh was lodged in Saharanpur jail following his surrender before the court after his name recently surfaced in the scam. The special investigation team (SIT) of Uttarakhand police probing the scam, had brought him to Dehradun on a four-day police custody remand last month.

The execution of the plan involved K.P. Singh, the alleged mafia, met with Omvir Tomar to discuss fraudulent activities surrounding a piece of land owned by Raksha Singha, an N.R.I who had limited presence in Dehradun following the passing of her father, P.C. Nischal. Exploiting this situation, the culprit devised a cunning scheme. He coerced Tomar into fabricating land documents for a solar company.

To carry out this task, Tomar sought the assistance of Satish, a resident of Muzaffarnagar, who then introduced him to Sanjay Kumar Sharma. Sanjay instructed them to create counterfeit land documents in the name of his father, Ramratan Sharma. K.P. Singh and Ajay Mohan Paliwal collaborated to forge a fake deed dated back to 1979, later representing it as Sharma’s rightful ownership. This falsified deed was then registered in the official records through Binder Sonu, who held a position in the Registrar’s office.

BI News, New Delhi: Haryana, with its remarkable performance during the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, has secured the third position in the nation and received the prestigious National Award. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi presented this award during the closing ceremony of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Amrit Kalash Yatra held in New Delhi today.

A jury convened to select the best-performing States and Union Territories recognized Haryana as the third-best performing state in the country. The Information, Public Relations, and Language Department (IPRL) of Haryana played a pivotal role as the nodal department in coordinating the various programs conducted during the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal congratulated the IPRL department for their significant contribution to this achievement.
