BI News,New Delhi : In a significant development, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) panel has unanimously endorsed the replacement of “India” with “Bharat” in their forthcoming textbooks. This change, proposed several months ago, has now received formal approval. It is intended to emphasize the traditional and culturally rooted name “Bharat” for the nation. Consequently, forthcoming NCERT books will reflect this alteration, affecting the way the country is referred to in educational materials.
The panel has recommended the adoption of ‘classical history’ nomenclature, replacing ‘ancient history’ in textbooks. The committee’s chairman, C I Issac, elaborated on these adjustments, underlining their significance.


According to Isaac, the panel has suggested replacing the name “India” with “Bharat” in the textbooks, introducing “classical history” instead of “ancient history” in the curriculum and including the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) in the syllabus for all subjects.
“The committee has unanimously recommended that the name ‘Bharat’ should be used in textbooks for students across classes. We have also recommended introducing ‘classical history’ instead of ‘ancient history’ in the textbooks,” Isaac told this correspondent.
He said the committee has also recommended highlighting “Hindu victories” in various battles in the textbooks. “Our failures are presently mentioned in the textbooks. But our victories over the Mughals and sultans are not,” said Isaac, who is also a member of the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR).
The NCERT is revising the curriculum of the school textbooks in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The council recently constituted a 19-member National Syllabus and Teaching Learning Material Committee (NSTC) to finalise the curriculum, textbooks and learning material for these classes.


“The committee has also recommended the introduction of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) in the curriculum of all subjects,” Isaac said.
“We have not accepted anything at the moment. The panel sent their report,” NCERT director said. The proposal was put forth several months ago.
This development comes amid Centre receiving backlash from the Opposition for replacing India with ‘Bharat’ in official documents such as invite, with the first such mention being on an ASEAN event invitation extended to PM Modi referring him as the “Prime Minister of Bharat”.
The India-Bharat row, however, gained pace when Rashtrapati Bhawan sent out invitations for a G20 dinner on September 9 on behalf of ‘President of Bharat’. Amid all this, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had said that the connotation of the word ‘Bharat’ is reflected in the Constitution.

BI News, LUCKNOW: State President of Rashtriya Lok Dal, Ramashish Rai said that on October 31, on the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, various programs will be organized by Rashtriya Lok Dal in the districts of the state, in which the district and metropolitan units will discuss about the problems of farmers and MSP on farmers’ crops. A memorandum will be given to the Honorable Governor of the state through the District Magistrate regarding the demand for guarantee.


Rai said that Rashtriya Lok Dal has always been promoting and spreading the ideas, programs and policies of Iron Man Sardar Patel. A large population of farmers in Uttar Pradesh produce sugarcane and potatoes. But due to not getting remunerative prices, their condition is bad. The government had set a target of doubling the farmer’s income by 2022, but the farmer’s costs increased due to inflation and his income further decreased.
Rai said that in the memorandum, RLD leaders will demand to increase the price of sugarcane to Rs 400/quintal and make a law on MSP by fixing remunerative prices for all agricultural products including potatoes and paddy. Along with this, it will be demanded that in many districts of the state, the paddy crop has dried up due to lack of water in the fields, the government should provide relief by conducting a survey and to save the paddy from drying up in the entire state, farmers should irrigate their fields with electricity. Those on whom electricity department has imposed fine which should be waived off. Apart from this, the main points in the memorandum will be to provide free electricity to the farmers for irrigation of agricultural crops and to free the farmers from stray animals.

BI News, Lucknow: Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has said that the Chief Minister’s claims regarding law and order and crime are baseless. Crime is at its peak in the state. Law and order has collapsed. Bullies and criminals have got a free hand in the BJP government. He is carrying out incidents like murder, robbery, kidnapping, rape etc. whenever he wants. The anarchy of BJP leaders and their henchmen and relatives continues. Chief Minister should tell whether heinous crimes like murder, robbery, dacoity and rape are taking place every day in the state, are they organized or unorganized? The criminals are fearless and the administration is bowing before them. Innocents are being killed. He is sending the opposition to jail by filing fake cases. This is the height of injustice and atrocities on the common people. No one is getting justice.


Akhilesh said that there is a flood of crimes in the entire state including the capital UTTAR P. Zero tolerance of BJP government is false. Yadav said that everyone is upset with the BJP government. Women and daughters are not safe. The public will not remain silent after seeing all this. The public will defeat BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

BI News,Lucknow:  In view of the Lok Sabha elections, the efforts to unite the opposition parties have intensified. Continuous efforts are being made towards including Bahujan Samaj Party in the India alliance in Uttar Pradesh. Congress leaders themselves also want an alliance with BSP so that balance can be maintained. Congress spokesperson also confirms this.
He believes that by forming an alliance with BSP, other things will also become easier in the elections.


While there will be less tussle in the alliance, seats can also be easily obtained.
He said on the condition of anonymity that the way Samajwadi Party leaders are trying to dominate the alliance. That cannot be tolerated at any cost. SP’s position in the last Lok Sabha is not hidden from anyone. Whereas BSP had performed better than SP. As far as Congress is concerned, there has been tremendous improvement in the situation of Congress. Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra has attracted the general public. Now people have realized that Congress can play a big role in defeating BJP in the Lok Sabha. Especially among Dalits, minorities and backward classes, there is hope about Congress.
Minorities are also realizing that Congress can stop BJP in a better way than regional parties. India alliance has further increased the expectations of the general public.
