Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited various Chhath ghats of river Ganga by steamer from Nasriganj Ghat in Danapur to Gaighat and wished Chhath devotees and people of the state on Chhath. Lakhs of devotees offered prayers to the setting Lord Sun at various ghats of river Ganga. The devotees present at the ghats greeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with raised hands.

The Chief Minister also accepted the greetings of all the people by raising his hands.

It is known that the Chief Minister has been visiting Chhath Ghats regarding the facilities for Chhath fasts. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, full efforts have been made by the administration for the convenience and safety of the fasting people at Chhath Ghats so that people do not face any kind of problem.The Chief Minister has greeted the entire state on this occasion.

Selection Process: Recommendations and applications for the Bharatatma Puraskar-2023 were sought from all over India in the months of May and June. The received applications were screened based on predefined criteria and were kept confidential before a committee of Vedic experts. The committee has recommended three names in the category of outstanding Vedic scholars, three in the category of exemplary Vedic teachers, and two in the category of the best Vedic institutions. On November 19, a senior committee of Vedic experts will deliberate on these names and make the final decision, selecting the ultimate winner. Each category’s final winner will be honored with the Bharatatma Puraskar by the honorable Governor, Mr. Kar Kamal, in the award distribution ceremony on November 20 in Gujarat.

VedArpit Samman: The Singhal Foundation annually selects a Vedic scholar who has dedicated their entire life to practicing Vedic principles, made an invaluable contribution to the propagation of Vedic knowledge through the tradition of Shruti, and provided a significant contribution to the preservation of Vedic knowledge.

BI News, New Delhi : The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) signed three MoUs today with Youth4Jobs Foundation, Amazon Development Centre (India) Private Limited (Amazon) and an Umbrella MoU with National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL); Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) MADRAS; Indian Institute of Management(IIM) Bangalore; National Institute of Technical Teachers Training; Research; (NITTTR), Chennai, at AICTE HQ, New Delhi.

The MoUs are signed in the august presence of Chairman AICTE Prof. T.G. Sitharam and Member Secretary Prof. Rajive Kumar. AICTE signed the MoUs to further strengthen its ongoing commitment for holistic, quality, inclusive and accessible technical education in India.

AICTE signed a MoU with Amazon India under Amazon WoW’s (Women of the World) initiative. This innovative program is designed to empower and equip women students enrolled in engineering colleges across India with essential skills to thrive in the technology industry. The collaboration agreement was signed by AICTE Chairman and Suman Yadav, Director – Student Programs, Amazon.
The Amazon WoW initiative will provide a dynamic platform for women students to seamlessly connect with the Amazon community, engage in immersive skill development sessions, and access a wealth of resources. Through this strategic collaboration with AICTE, Amazon is committed to enable women students with the essential tools and knowledge necessary to navigate and succeed in the ever-evolving landscape of technology. This industry-government collaboration seeks to help women engage with industry leaders, technologists, and like-minded peers, all while honing essential career focused skills. Since its inception, Amazon WoW has garnered over 298,000 subscribers on its platform. MoU signing with NPTEL

National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) at IIT Madras, IIM Bangalore and National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR-Chennai) signed an Umbrella MoU with AICTE to execute Faculty Development Programs for teachers in AICTE’s approved Technical Institutions through NPTEL Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) advance courses to enable upskilling of faculty on a large scale even when they are geographically distributed and with least disruption to their regular work. The collaboration will majorly focus on training the technical teachers in polytechnic and engineering institutes through pedagogy and in emerging areas. Skill development, industrial training and hands on experience to technical teachers will also be provided to ensure that faculties have enough exposure of the relevant field. NPTEL has been offering courses for certification in the online mode as part of SWAYAM since 2017.

Member Secretary, AICTE , Prof. Rajive Kumar highlighted the importance of educating women and disabled students. He said, “AICTE is very serious on the issue of inclusivity and diversity. We have different schemes for divyang and women students who are in technical education”. He further urged the three organizations to ensure that divyang and women students must be integrated in mainstream education through these MoUs.

BI News, Ranchi: The 26th meeting of the Jharkhand Tribal Advisory Council (TAC) concluded at the state ministry with Chief Minister Hemant Soren presiding over the session. The TAC, during this meeting, made significant decisions, including the extension of the tenure of the sub-committee formed under the chairmanship of Pro. Stephen Marandi, a member of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, for the next year.

One of the crucial decisions made in the meeting was related to the recognition of districts and police stations established within the state under the CNNT Act of January 26, 1950. The TAC, acknowledging these areas as districts and police stations under Section 46, approved land purchase and sale under this provision.

The TAC also unanimously decided against the recent establishment of the Lugu Pahar Hydel Pumped Storage Project proposed by Damodar Valley Corporation in the Santali-inhabited hills of Bokaro district. Chief Minister Hemant Soren emphasized the government’s commitment to protect the religious heritage of the Adivasi community and ensured that decisions align with the sentiments of the people.

In preparation for the completion of the current state government’s four-year term, a statewide campaign titled “Your Plan, Your Government, Your Way” will be launched from November 15 to December 29, 2023. The meeting directed representatives and responsible ministers to play a vital role in executing their duties during the program. Akhilesh Yadav, in his address on this occasion, said that the poor, farmers, labourers, backward classes, Dalits, tribals and minorities of Uttar Pradesh have not yet got their rights and respect. Inflation, corruption and injustice are at their peak under the BJP government. BJP’s policies are anti-PDA. PDA Samajwadi Social Justice Yatra will work to make the public aware about these questions.

He said that unemployed youth are not getting jobs. If the old pension is restored and the way education is being handed over to private hands, it is not possible for the poor to study. How will the poor be able to study in primary, secondary, higher secondary, intermediate, medical colleges? The kind of business going on in education should be stopped. This journey is being undertaken with all these questions in mind.

Akhilesh said that anti-democratic forces are active today. The struggle for social justice and socialist achievements of Netaji Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav along with the egalitarian principles of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and the principles and ideology of socialist Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia is to get his rights and respect.
He said that some capitalists have captured the country’s property. 5 percent industrial houses have captured 60 percent of the country’s wealth. Everyone has to be made aware of the truth of economic and social inequality. So that this increased social and economic inequality can be reduced.
Yadav said that Samajwadi Party emphasizes on adopting the price bandho policy of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia. Farmers should get profits on crops. There should be no tax on machinery, equipment, fertilizers, seeds and pesticides used in farming. Electricity and water should be free. Farming is the biggest loss.

SP President Akhilesh Yadav said that the yatra will conclude on November 25 in Bijnor. We demand caste census from the government. It should be done in the entire country so that it can be known which are the castes of the society which have not got the benefits of development.

Collaboration with Amazon and Youth4Jobs to empower and equip women and disabled students

BI News, New Delhi : The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) signed three MoUs today with Youth4Jobs Foundation, Amazon Development Centre (India) Private Limited (Amazon) and an Umbrella MoU with National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL); Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) MADRAS; Indian Institute of Management(IIM) Bangalore; National Institute of Technical Teachers Training; Research; (NITTTR), Chennai, at AICTE HQ, New Delhi.

The MoUs are signed in the august presence of Chairman AICTE Prof. T.G. Sitharam and Member Secretary Prof. Rajive Kumar. AICTE signed the MoUs to further strengthen its ongoing commitment for holistic, quality, inclusive and accessible technical education in India.

Prof. T G Sitharam, Chairman of AICTE expressed his happiness on signing the MoUs with three organizations. He said, Amazon India is leveraging its industry expertise and technical prowess to support women empowerment in the country. Amazon WoW will be an invaluable program for women in engineering colleges across India. This initiative not only imparts essential skills, such as coding, but also opens doors to invaluable opportunities for industry exposure and soft skill development to young women. It truly embodies the spirit of progress in AICTE’s pursuit of a more inclusive and dynamic tech landscape.”

AICTE Chairman further informed that AICTE has taken various reformative initiatives like Internship portal, placement portal for rural and tribal engineering students and courses for working professionals, to ensure that students are integrated with skill development.

MoU Signing with Amazon India:

AICTE signed a MoU with Amazon India under Amazon WoW’s (Women of the World) initiative. This innovative program is designed to empower and equip women students enrolled in engineering colleges across India with essential skills to thrive in the technology industry. The collaboration agreement was signed by AICTE Chairman and Suman Yadav, Director – Student Programs, Amazon.
The Amazon WoW initiative will provide a dynamic platform for women students to seamlessly connect with the Amazon community, engage in immersive skill development sessions, and access a wealth of resources. Through this strategic collaboration with AICTE, Amazon is committed to enable women students with the essential tools and knowledge necessary to navigate and succeed in the ever-evolving landscape of technology. This industry-government collaboration seeks to help women engage with industry leaders, technologists, and like-minded peers, all while honing essential career focused skills. Since its inception, Amazon WoW has garnered over 298,000 subscribers on its platform. Over 900 women have secured internships or full-time opportunities at Amazon, a testament to the program’s effectiveness.

Youth4Jobs and AICTE signed an MoU to provide marked linked training and placement support to students who are with disabilities. The collaboration will focus on creating disability awareness among the educators, educational institutions, employers and community. Advocate and support disability inclusion in higher education and employment. Provide free of cost job-linked training to students who are with benchmark disabilities and free of cost placement support to all the trainees.

MoU signing with NPTEL

National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) at IIT Madras, IIM Bangalore and National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR-Chennai) signed an Umbrella MoU with AICTE to execute Faculty Development Programs for teachers in AICTE’s approved Technical Institutions through NPTEL Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) advance courses to enable upskilling of faculty on a large scale even when they are geographically distributed and with least disruption to their regular work. The collaboration will majorly focus on training the technical teachers in polytechnic and engineering institutes through pedagogy and in emerging areas. Skill development, industrial training and hands on experience to technical teachers will also be provided to ensure that faculties have enough exposure of the relevant field. NPTEL has been offering courses for certification in the online mode as part of SWAYAM since 2017.

Member Secretary, AICTE , Prof. Rajive Kumar highlighted the importance of educating women and disabled students. He said, “AICTE is very serious on the issue of inclusivity and diversity. We have different schemes for divyang and women students who are in technical education”. He further urged the three organizations to ensure that divyang and women students must be integrated in mainstream education through these MoUs.
